FinWise Labs does not collect, record, or transmit to any server the numerical values you enter into our financial calculators (such as loan amounts, interest rates, salary figures, monthly expenses, or credit card balances). All simulation algorithms execute purely inside your device browser's local JavaScript runtime.

2. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) & Interaction Tracking

We utilize Google Analytics 4 (Measurement Tag: G-5GVBBPYD7S) provided by Google LLC to measure anonymous website traffic, regional usage, and engagement metrics across our educational tools. Specifically:

  • IP Anonymization: Visitor IP addresses are automatically masked and anonymized before processing.
  • Interaction Events: We track aggregated and non-personally identifiable events, such as which financial calculator is executed, currency dropdown switches, interface language choices, dark/light theme toggles, search terms, and articles read.
  • No Financial Data Export: Specific loan amounts, interest rates, or salary numbers inputted by the user are never sent to Google Analytics.

We display a Cookie & Analytics Consent Banner to every first-time visitor. You have full control over your privacy choices:

  • Accept All: Enables anonymous Google Analytics cookies and telemetry to help us improve simulator usability.
  • Decline / Essential Only: Disables all analytical tracking scripts. FinWise Labs will only utilize essential browser storage required to display your chosen language and currency.

FinWise Labs utilizes client-side localStorage solely to remember your user interface preferences:

  • fw_last_lang: Your preferred website language.
  • fw_theme: Your selected visual appearance (Light Mode or Dark Mode).
  • fw_cookie_consent: Your cookie and analytics consent preference (accepted or declined).

This data remains strictly stored on your own local device and is never synchronized to our servers.

When advertisements are enabled (via ADS_ENABLED), third-party vendors including Google AdSense may utilize cookies or web beacons to display non-intrusive advertisements based on prior visits to this or other websites.
